PRINCIPAL PERCUSSIONIST SERGE DESGAGNES
NOW REPRESENTING
SAN FRANCISCO DRUM COMPANY

San Francisco, California, August 1, 2006 – San Francisco Drum Company announces that Serge Desgagnés, Principal Percussionist for the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal (Montreal Symphony Orchestra), is the latest artist representing their product line. Mr. Desgagnés is playing a 5.5"x14" Bernal Beat snare finished in vintage Champagne Sparkle with the new Dunnett R-Class strainer and Puresound snare wires.

“I found something rare in my San Francisco snare drum: a sound with warm character and precise snare response that remains consistent at all dynamic levels”, said Desgagnés. “The Bernal Beat model fills the concert hall with amazing projection at the loud dynamic range, yet is instantly responsive for quieter passages. This instrument is capable of responding to a wide-range of expression from the musician’s performance.”

“We are very excited to have Serge as our newest artist representing San Francisco Drum Company. It’s a privilege to work with a classical musician with one of today’s leading world-class orchestras”, said Garry Williams of San Francisco Drum Company. “The Bernal Beat model he’s playing (from Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood, CA) is currently our best-selling snare drum.”

San Francisco Drum Company products are available from authorized resellers.
