ELÓY CASAGRANDE TOUR A HIT WITH U.S. DRUMMERS AND DEALERS.

Fifteen-year old Brazilian drumming sensation and winner of Modern Drummer magazine’s 2005 “Undiscovered Drummer” contest, Elóy Casagrande, recently completed his first concert/clinic tour of U.S. drumshops. The tour covered nearly 6,000 miles over the course of 14 days and included visits to Bentley’s Drum Shop (Fresno, CA), Scott’s Drum Center (Lafayette, LA), Explorers Percussion (Kansas City, MO), Fork’s Drum Shop (Nashville, TN), Mom’s Music (Louisville, KY), Columbus Percussion (Columbus, OH), Guzzardo Music (Rockford, IL) and The Drum Pad (Palatine, IL).

Attended by drummers of all ages, including many teen and pre-teen players, the events were sponsored by Drums for North America (distributor of RMV drums), Paiste cymbals, Evans drumheads, Pro-Mark drumsticks and LP percussion, with additional support provided by Hudson Music, Puresound Percussion, Stagg cases and Shure microphones. The young drummer’s hour-plus performances featured intense, technically advanced drum solos as well as powerful yet musical drumming with pre-recorded compositions.

According to Elóy and his sponsors, plans are already underway for a return visit to the United States and Canada later this year. For additional information please contact Drums for North America at 818-753-7811, marketing@drums4na.com.
